"Alright, let's see what treasures hide up here," Sarah murmured to herself, her voice soft in the quiet house. The last of the unpacking had been completed. A wave of contentment washed over her as she surveyed her domain. A perfect day for exploration. She climbed the stairs to the attic, the wooden steps groaning under her weight.

The stale air in the attic held the scent of aged wood and forgotten things. Her gaze drifted toward a dusty, unopened crate. Its metal bands were rusty. Intrigued, she found a crowbar and easily pried the lid open.

Inside were a collection of old letters tied with faded ribbons. Sarah picked up the topmost letter, its paper brittle to the touch. The words, filled with love and longing, instantly transported her. A gentle smile played on her lips as she began to read.
